French conductor Pierre Vallet is a frequent guest at the world's leading opera houses and symphony orchestras.
Vallet has conducted at L'Opéra National de Paris, the Bolshoi Theater, the Gran Teatro del Liceu, the Dallas Opera, the Opera Theatre St. Louis, the Lithuanian National Opera in Vilnius, and the Göteborg Opera.
On the symphonic stage, he appeared with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Spoleto Festival USA, and the Chattanooga Symphony among others.
With the Royal Philharmonic and pianist Elizabeth Sombart, he has recorded the Beethoven and Chopin piano concertos and four Mozart concertos; his recording of Beethoven's Concertos 1 and 2 was named among the ten best recordings marking Beethoven's 250th anniversary by Classical Music Magazine.
Vallet has a long-standing association with the Metropolitan Opera, first as pianist and coach, later as staff conductor. He has enjoyed a twenty-year musical partnership with Seiji Ozawa on forty productions across Japan, the US, and Europe.

A dedicated mentor to emerging artists, Maestro Vallet serves on the Vocal Arts faculty at The Juilliard School, bringing decades of performance experience to his masterclasses, lectures, and artist residencies worldwide.
Vallet guest-teaches for the Met's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, the Aspen Music Festival, San Francisco Opera's Adler Program, Tanglewood Music Center, Houston Grand Opera Studio, and the Steans Music Institute at Ravinia.
